International Karate Forum and World Masters Cup in Moscow

1st International Forum "Karate and Society" and 1st World Masters Cup. Russia, Moscow, August 13-18, 2025.
The World Forum is a tribute to the mentor and attention to his role in society. He will unite in Moscow both masters who have completed performances in different years, and current members of the national teams of their countries who have chosen the path of a mentor.

Only teachers and instructors (holders of master's degrees), whose activities are dedicated to working with children and youth, will meet on the tatami in different age groups and disciplines - such an event is unique as it is being held in the world for the first time.
Idea
The idea of the World Cup among Masters is to unite the mentors of the world through the philosophy of Kyokushin karate, under the motto "Friendship without boundaries". The cup will expand international contacts, strengthen friendly connections, create opportunities for demonstrating karate skills and regular meetings. The event will be held with respect to the memory of the founder of Kyokushin karate – Master Oyama Masutatsu.
The proposal for a large-scale event in Moscow with master classes by the best masters and an exchange of experience between teachers and coaches, with consideration of issues of developing karate as a system of educating young people that goes beyond the borders of countries, was supported by representatives of 29 BRICS member states, the Asia-Pacific region, Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
In a difficult time for amateur sports, Russia is the initiator of an international event, holding it at the intersection of mass sports and education, setting an example of people's and sports diplomacy.
The Forum initiated a new international project - "Cities of Sports Brotherhood" and within the framework of this project the first agreement will be signed at the site (to be announced at the general session). According to the plan, having become a good tradition, this project will create additional opportunities for the development of karate in the world. In addition, at the opening of the Forum, another important agreement for the development of international projects will be signed on cooperation between the organizers of the Forum and the Cup - "Russian Kyokushin Karate Union" and International public and business center "House of BRICS".

The tournament has already been supported by representatives from 37 countries: Thailand, Hungary, Denmark, Great Britain, South Africa, Kazakhstan, Chile, Russia, Iran, Romania, Iraq, USA, Kuwait, Indonesia, Tunisia, Cameroon, Armenia, Philippines, Colombia, Pakistan, Belarus, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Palestine, Azerbaijan, India, Lebanon, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Georgia; Zambia, Abkhazia, South Korea, Venezuela, Bulgaria.

The organizers.
The main governing body, the Organizing Committee, is being formed to hold the event at a high level (the structure will be published here after the first sitting).

The performer will be:
"Russian Kyokushin Karate Union" (further - RKKU), which has experience in holding the European Championships in Moscow in 2015, 2016, and the World Cup in 2019 with the participation of delegations from 35 countries. The President of the RKKU is Alexander Kramyshev Shihan, the 5th dan.

The event will be held with the support of the “Open Kyokushin Alliance” – the associative community unites nine All-Russian organizations and 11 representative offices of international organizations working in the field of Kyokushin karate. The Alliance advocates the creation of equal conditions for the self-realization of Russian children and youth in mass sports.

Russia: Sensei Boris Morgunov - Winner of the USSR Kyokushin Karate Cup, Master of Sports of the USSR, black belt the 3rd dan, Professor at the Higher School of Economics (HSE).
Asia: Shihan Tajimurat Naizabekov - President of the All-Kazakhstan Kyokushin karate organization uniting more than 35,000 fighters, Curator of the IKOKU Asian region, black belt the 7th dan, Honored Sports Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, State Kyokushinkai Karate Trainer.
South America: Shihan Victor Collao - Head of the national Kyokushin Karate Organization of the Republic of Chile, winner of the 6th World Cup, black belt - 6th dan.
Africa: Shihan Bas van Stanis Curator for the development of the African continent, master of Kyokushin karate, black belt 8th dan.
The following addressed the participants and organizers with welcoming addresses: the Minister of Sports of Russia, the head of Rossotrudnichestvo, the Rector of RUDN, the Deputies of the State Duma, the Commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation. Confirmations of participation in the events as honorary guests were received from the Ambassadors of the countries participating in the Forum.

In the form of competitive activity kyokushin karate in the disciplines "kumite", "kata", "tameshivari", "Bunkai", "Iken-hisatsu Kumite" participants are offered 45 categories divided by age from 18 to 70 years, weight and gender.

The rules of the competition are identical to the rules of many karate directions: kyokushin union, kyokushin profi, WKO, shinkyokushin, so-kyokushin, zen-kyokushin, kyokushin kenbukai, kyokushinRyu, and many others.
The general management of the course of competitions and master classes is carried out by the "Joint Presidium", compiled based on the results of applications from the heads of representatives of International departments, judges of international categories.

A World Cup Mascot, souvenirs, T-shirts and other commemorative products will be made for fans and participants by the beginning of the competition.
